Comfy Meets Cute Wardrobe Inspiration

You guys, the comfort status of my wardrobe currently is at an all-time high. Pregnancy has made me absolutely despise pants because they're literally sooooo uncomfortable. Also, nothing fits me...or if it does, it doesn't fit me well.

I thought I'd share with you my fave tips for being super comfy, but still looking like a total babe. Pregnant or not, we could all use some comfy wardrobe insp in our lives!

opt for dresses and jumpsuits

Dresses = no pants and jumpsuits = super comfy pants. Dresses and jumpsuits are literally my life right now. So comfy, super cute, and they don't require putting on multiple pieces of clothing. Easy. Peasy. I have a couple of summer jumpsuits I've been wearing the last several weeks that are lightweight and accommodate my growing bump well. I also have that^ babe on the right, a denim culotte jumpsuit from a local Kansas City shop called Dear Society that I'm planning on wearing to a wedding in a couple of weeks! Just gotta throw on a cute pair of shoes and an accessory or two and I'm looking at a comfy + cute evening with my hubs celebrating our dear friends!

Also, don't forget about the magic of maxi skirts and maxi dresses. *thumbs up*

turn a basic t-shirt up a notch

Layer a basic t-shirt with a vest or cardigan or tuck it into a pair of high-waisted jeans. No need to get super fancy in order to look cute! This adorable t-shirt from Madewell looks awesome with just about anything (and since t-shirts are one of the only things that fits me right now, I am forced to make them look super cute).

accessorize, accessorize, accessorize

You can take an otherwise boring tank-top, t-shirt, or dress and turn it into a super cute outfit with the addition of some great accessories. Accessories can make or break an outfit. The simple addition of a necklace can make you look a little more put together. The right pair of shoes can take a look from daytime to evening. Some stacked rings or sunglasses add an element of trendiness. Even leggings and a t-shirt can be taken up a notch with a cute pair of sandals and a necklace.

Other tips:

Swap out athletic pants for jeggings

Buy some comfy + cute shorts for summer (like these, these, and these)

Choose pieces that have an oversized fit for ultimate comfort

Cute doesn't have to mean uncomfortable! Comfy doesn't have to mean boring or simple. You can make them both work.
